Takeaways from the Field: Learning from Chicago’s New-Generation Housing Cooperatives 

The Community Ownership Learning and Action Lab, a collaborative of national organizations based at the University of Miami, conducted 67 in-depth interviews and site visits across three cities to answer a simple but important question:  How do community ownership projects like these survive, and even grow, in such a precarious landscape?
